This Privacy Policy applies to the Android app Spin the Wheel - Fair Picker,
package com.gospinwheel.android, also referred to here as GoSpinWheel.
GoSpinWheel for Android is a local-first random picker and spin-the-wheel app. The app does not require a GoSpinWheel account, does not include third-party advertising, and does not use behavioral analytics, tracking, or crash-reporting SDKs. Google Play Billing includes limited operational diagnostics as described below.
1. Data GoSpinWheel Does Not Collect Automatically
GoSpinWheel does not automatically collect:
- Your name, email address, phone number, or GoSpinWheel account profile.
- Advertising identifiers, behavioral analytics, tracking data, or precise or approximate location.
- Contacts, photos, audio, camera, microphone, health information, or full payment-card or bank-account details.
The app can contact Google Play to load products and restore purchase status. Other network features run when you use or enable them, including public sharing, one-time website import, Pro AI generation, purchase verification, and Google Drive backup. Automatic Drive backup can run in the background after you explicitly enable it.
2. Local App Data
The app stores your wheel library, spin history, editor drafts, preferences, custom palettes, pending actions, import receipts, and local entitlement fallback state in the app's private storage on your device. This data is used to make the app work and is not automatically uploaded to GoSpinWheel.
Android system backup is disabled for the app. Android normally removes this private local data when you uninstall the app. Optional Google Drive backup is a separate feature described in Section 7.
3. Public Share Links
If you choose to create a public share link, the app sends the wheel title, option labels and weights, colors, hidden-option state, wheel settings, and related wheel data needed to host that link on GoSpinWheel. Anyone with the link may be able to view, spin, and import a copy of the shared wheel.
Public shares currently use a one-year storage expiration that may be renewed when a link is opened or updated. A link can therefore remain available for longer than one year. We may change this retention window, and we may remove a link earlier for the reasons below.
Do not share private, sensitive, or harmful content. GoSpinWheel may apply service limits, reject requests, or remove public links to protect the service, enforce the Terms of Service, comply with law, or respond to abuse.
4. One-Time Website Imports
If you use a one-time website import, the GoSpinWheel website temporarily stores the import payload so the Android app can claim it with a single-use secret. The payload expires after up to 15 minutes and is destroyed when it is consumed or expires.
The app temporarily protects the import secret using Android Keystore-backed storage and keeps a local receipt to prevent duplicate import. GoSpinWheel may retain limited non-content tombstone or operational data for replay protection and abuse prevention, but does not use the import content for advertising or tracking.
5. Google Play Purchases
GoSpinWheel Pro purchases are sold through Google Play Billing. Google handles payment processing, purchase authentication, refunds, and subscription management. GoSpinWheel does not receive or store your full payment card details.
To confirm an entitlement, the app may send the package name, product ID, and Google Play purchase token to GoSpinWheel. GoSpinWheel sends the minimum required purchase evidence to the Google Play Developer API. The raw purchase token is not written to GoSpinWheel application logs or retained in the GoSpinWheel entitlement database. Limited non-raw verification records may be kept for reliability, abuse prevention, and rate limiting.
Google processes purchase-related information under its own privacy policy and Google Play terms.
The Google Play Billing Library also records limited operational diagnostics, such as whether billing API calls succeed or fail and whether the app can connect to the Play billing service. Google uses this information to improve Play Billing performance and support error diagnosis. GoSpinWheel does not receive it in a GoSpinWheel analytics account and does not use it for advertising, tracking, or user profiling.
6. Optional Create With AI
Create with AI is an optional Pro feature. If you request a generated wheel setup, the app sends:
- The prompt you enter, your selected language or locale, and a request identifier.
- The minimum Google Play purchase evidence needed to authorize the request.
GoSpinWheel sends the prompt through Cloudflare Workers AI and Cloudflare AI Gateway. If the primary model is unavailable or returns an invalid setup, AI Gateway may route the request to a configured fallback model provider. Cloudflare and any fallback provider process the prompt under their own privacy terms and GoSpinWheel's service configuration. Do not enter personal, financial, health, or other sensitive information in an AI prompt.
GoSpinWheel uses a one-way keyed representation of network and entitlement identifiers for authorization, security, and rate limiting. It does not write the raw prompt, raw purchase token, raw network address, or raw provider error to its AI database. A generated response may be held in a short-lived cache for up to 15 minutes to handle duplicate requests safely. Limited operational records that exclude the raw prompt and raw token are deleted after up to 30 days.
The generated setup remains editable and is not saved to your local wheel library until you choose to use or save it.
7. Optional Google Drive Backup
Cloud Backup is an optional Pro feature. If you enable it, Android asks you to
authorize the narrow Google Drive drive.appdata scope. This lets the app
create, list, restore, and delete only its own hidden app-data backup files; it
does not grant access to your regular Drive documents.
Backup files contain the local app snapshot needed to restore your wheels, history, and settings, plus backup format and app-version metadata. They are stored in your Google Drive account and handled by Google under your Google Account settings and privacy policy. Automatic backup runs at most once per day when enabled, and the app retains at most 30 backup snapshots.
Drive authorization and backup transfers occur directly between the app and Google. GoSpinWheel servers do not receive your Google account credentials or private Drive backup contents, and GoSpinWheel does not copy the backup into a GoSpinWheel cloud account. You can disable automatic backup or disconnect Drive access from the app.
GoSpinWheel's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We use Google Drive data only to provide backup, restore, retention, and deletion functions that you request or enable. We do not use it for advertising, sell it, or permit humans to read it except with your explicit consent, when necessary for security or service integrity, or when required by law.
8. Operational Data, Security, And Service Providers
Production requests use HTTPS and fixed GoSpinWheel or Google service endpoints. GoSpinWheel's network services run on Cloudflare. Cloudflare and other network operators may process connection information such as IP address, timestamps, and request metadata to deliver and secure requests.
GoSpinWheel uses network-address information transiently or in a one-way keyed form for rate limiting, fraud prevention, and abuse protection. Public-share creation may use a network address briefly in a short-lived rate-limit cache. We do not use this information for advertising or behavioral profiling.
The Android app contains no third-party advertising SDK and GoSpinWheel does not sell app data or share it for targeted advertising. Data may be disclosed to the service providers identified in this policy, when you direct a feature to do so, to protect users or the service, or when required by law.
The app may open support, privacy, terms, Google account, or purchase management pages in another app. Those destinations process data under their own policies.
9. Children
GoSpinWheel is a general-purpose utility for choices, education, activities, and entertainment. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the Android app. Users should not place personal or sensitive information in wheel content, public shares, imports, or AI prompts.
10. Deleting Your Data
The Android app does not create a GoSpinWheel account, so there is no GoSpinWheel app account to delete.
You can delete wheels and history inside the app. Uninstalling the app normally removes its private local data. This does not remove public share links or Google Drive backups.
Google Drive backup files remain in your Google account until the app deletes
them or you remove the hidden app data through Google Drive. On the Google
Drive website, open Settings, choose Manage apps, find GoSpinWheel, and
use Options > Delete hidden app data. Google documents that the
appDataFolder
is hidden from the normal Drive file list but can be deleted manually.
Revoking or disconnecting Drive access prevents future access but does not by
itself delete existing backup files.
For public share-link removal requests, contact us with the public link or share ID. One-time import payloads and AI data follow the retention periods described above.
11. Changes To This Policy
We may update this policy when the app, its services, or legal requirements change. We will update the date at the top of this page when we do.
