OC Relationship Wheel (for writers, artists, and roleplayers)

Need an instant relationship dynamic for two OCs? This wheel gives you a fast, story-friendly nudge—perfect for breaking writer’s block, building cast connections, or kicking off a roleplay scene.

Default slices included: Family, Friends, Frenemies, Siblings, Cousins, Couple, Grandparent/Grandchild, Aunt or Uncle/Niece and Nephew, and Spin x2.

How to use it in a scene or outline

  • Pick two characters, then roll once to set the baseline dynamic.
  • If you land on Spin x2, roll twice and blend the results into something messier (and more fun).
  • Treat the result as the starting point, not a constraint—add context like history, secrets, or conflicting goals.

Make it fit your cast (custom + weighted)

Open Edit to tailor the wheel to your worldbuilding:

  • Rename slices to match your setting’s terminology.
  • Adjust weights to make certain relationships more common (or rare) in your story.
  • Create multiple versions (e.g., “Modern AU” vs. “Fantasy Court”) and keep each as a separate link.
  • Enable elimination mode when you want variety—each picked result drops out until you reset.
  • Share your wheel via a URL so collaborators can use the same setup during planning sessions.

Ready to generate your next OC connection? Customize the wheel, roll a dynamic, and start writing the scene that follows.
